Decor on a Dime is a full-service residential interior decorating firm offering affordable luxury designs and products to Northern Virginia clients, and to virtual clients nationwide.  We specialize in space planning, color selection, exquisite custom window treatment and furniture designs.  Our online interior design studio offers budget conscious do-it-yourself home decorators the opportunity to learn about the latest interior design trends and decorating ideas by reading and following our blog.  Discount professional services and products for redecorating or remodeling may be ordered online as well.

Media and Awards

Our owner, Carla Davis, is a well respected interior designer. Since 2004, Carla  has been specializing in residential interior design.  Her work has been featured in many Residential Showcases and industry publications including:  Washington Woman Magazine (June, 2005), House Trends Magazine (November 2006), Loudoun Times Mirror (September 20, 2006)  Washington Spaces Magazine (January 2007, November, 2007 and The Washington Post (October 8, 2009).   Carla has also appeared on HGTV's 25 Great Holiday Ideas which aired from November, 2008 to January, 2009.  She was also selected as a featured designer for the Loudoun Arts Council Designer Showhouse during the fall of 2006.  The Loudoun Arts Council awarded her the historic Rust mansion's Grand Dining Room.

About Carla

Born and raised in the old brewery city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Carla has always had an affinity for elements of structural design and aesthetics.  Carla earned a Social Work degree from University  of Wisconsin which has given great insight into the psychological benefits of a well designed space.

Carla's passion for interior design is reflected in the beautiful surroundings that she creates. An ability to collaborate with builders, contractors, and her clients have earned Carla a well deserved reputation as a true professional with unsurpassed sense of sense of space, color, and style.
